A new restaurant will soon be serving up “A Taste of Puglia in the Heart of South Beach”: Casa Petra, opening at the Bentley Hotel South Beach.

“Nestled within the luxurious Bentley Hotel South Beach on Ocean Drive, Casa Petra is poised to become Miami Beach’s premier destination for authentic Italian cuisine,” says the Bentley website. “A culinary sanctuary that bridges the rustic elegance of Puglia with the vibrant energy of Miami, Casa Petra offers a refined dining experience that pays homage to the rich gastronomic traditions of Southern Italy while embracing modern culinary artistry.”

The specifics on the menu being developed by Chef Tom Azar are still under wraps. The website promises “dishes that celebrate fresh, high-quality ingredients and innovative techniques” and that will “elevate traditional recipes, ensuring a dining experience that is both nostalgic and refreshingly modern.”

What Now reached out this week to Shadi Shomar, one of the principals behind Arte Hospitality Group, which acquired the hotel back in 2022, to ask about plans for the upcoming restaurant. Shomar declined to make any immediate comment, but What Now is awaiting an update.
