Breaking news for South Jersey cheesesteak fans! Medford favorite Ry & Howie’s Steaks and Hoagies is opening its second location, this time in Glassboro, later this summer, reports local media outlet South Jersey Food Scene.

Founded and owned by Ryan McMullen and Howard Ellis, the sandwich shop will be setting up its kitchen at 22-24 West High Street. Ry & Howie’s will be a radical reinvention of the space-it’s previous tenant was ACE Screen Printing. Visitors hoping to enjoy their meal onsite are in luck; the eatery will have seating for up to 20 guests.

A precise opening date for Ry & Howie’s second act is not yet available, however the owners anticipate serving guests by July.

Both McMullen and Ellis have considerable background in the hospitality industry; the chefs have worked in an impressive range of restaurants and hotels. Speaking of their sandwich shop, the website offers this insight: “Ryan and Howard have always had a passion for food with a ‘Quality over everything else’ mind set, and it shows in everything they do. They have many achievements in their careers such as Presidents Cup awards and gold medals for culinary achievements but they are most proud creating and building Ry & Howie’s Steaks and Hoagies where they are part of the community doing what they have always dreamt of doing.“
