According to SF Eater, Aqui Cal-Mex is shuttering its location at Waterford Plaza Center in order to debut a new Aqui Cal-Mex in the “East Capitol Expressway and Tully Road area.”

“I’m not prepared to share any information about our expansion plans,” Dave O’Mara, Chief Executive Officer at Aqui Cal-Mex, tells What Now San Francisco.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, it was founded in 1994, and there are currently three outposts across Blossom Valley, Campbell, Cupertino, Downtown Willow Glen, and Waterford Plaza Center.

According to its website, the eatery’s mission is to “create fine dining food using the flavors of the Southwest, Asia, California, and Latin America… match the food with gorgeous decor and fill the place with art… add order-at-the-counter service to make it hassle-free. And above all, we will make it affordable.”

On the menu are specials such as grilled Caribbean chicken served alongside butternut squash pozole and blackened salmon enchiladas with mashed sweet potatoes. Offerings also include protein bowls, salads, quesadillas, and burritos.

An address and opening date have not been announced yet. Stay tuned for updates.
