Two things a city can never have too many of: tacos and portmanteaus. Luckily for Philadelphia, a popular local Mexican restaurant is doing its part to ensure the City of Brotherly Love’s supply of both never runs out. Tacodelphia, already a hit on Broad Street, is opening a second location, reports local media outlet Rittenhouse Ramblings.

The eatery will be helping its new home swap out deposit slips for burritos; Tacodelphia is taking over the space at 21st and Walnut Street that last housed a Chase Bank. An opening timeline is nebulous; however ownership is hoping to be customer ready at some point in 2025.

Philadelphians eager to sample the concept’s fare can stop into its flagship location at 427 South Broad Street. While it is not yet clear whether or not the new storefront’s menu will deviate in any way from the OG, in a social media post regarding the second shop, Tacodelphia says: “Get ready for more bold flavors and unbeatable vibes right in the heart of Philly”, suggesting future regulars can look forward to the same great quality the restaurant has been providing.

Tacodelphia currently offers a full range of Mexican favorites. Guests can choose from tacos, burritos, and quesadillas, customized with an array of proteins.
