Philadelphia is naturally food-curious; the city enthusiastically welcomes new concepts with open arms and rumbling stomachs. Exciting news, then, for locals hungry for the next big things; a fast-casual chain called Taim Mediterranean Kitchen is actively working to bring a bumper crop of locations into and around Philly, reports the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Taim’s invasion into the City of Brotherly Love is still in the preliminary stages. The concept is run by franchisees and Craveworthy Brands-the company that owns the restaurant-is actively seeking candidates for both single and multi-unit deals.

Craveworthy Brands founder and CEO Gregg Majewski has not yet revealed what specific markets his team is targeting, though he has revealed that Craveworthy is open to both city and suburban locations. While Majewski is remaining coy about specific neighborhoods, he has stated that Craveworthy is focusing on high population areas that will draw lots of traffic.

Majewski predicts opening between 25 and 30 locations in the greater Philadelphia area over an undetermined time.

Founded in New York City in 2005, Taim’s objective is to bring customizable, fresh, and authentic Mediterranean cuisine to its customers. Majewski believes that guests will find something special and unique in the dining experience offered, saying : “I think Cava has done a terrific job of sort of educating the consumer base on what Mediterranean is, but I think there’s a niche for better and more authentic.”
