The pickleball popularity is continuing to extend to southwest Portland this year.
A liquor license application was submitted under the trade name Village Pickle for 3675 SW Troy Street. This is set to be a pickleball facility with a bar and food carts on the side. Right now, it is in the early stages of approvals.
According to ownership, the food carts that will be installed at the space are to be determined. The main purpose of the new facility will be a pickleball experience for the community. In the application, the restaurant area will have room for 34 to sit inside, and there will be outdoor seating for 76 people.
Village Pickle will be providing indoor space to help meet the overflow of players from nearby Gabriel Park. It will be going in near other bars and restaurants along SW Capitol Highway like Renner’s Grill, Fat Kitty Ramen, Yalla and Level Beer: Level 2 Multnomah Village.
From the application, the space will have full food and alcohol service outside. The idea is to have a bar with operating food carts around it in addition to the courts.
The organization has not yet set up a social media account, but more announcements about the space will be released in the near future.
