Jorge Castro is continuing expansion of his successful Margarita Factory chain south of Portland.
It was recently reported by Keizer Times that a new Margarita Factory location will be opening at the former Brix Tavern, 6045 Keizer Station Boulevard. This is set to be a Latin American and cocktail eatery. Right now, the opening date is scheduled for Oct. 1.
Margarita Factory has other locations around Portland including in Beaverton, Happy Valley, Vancouver, Tigard and Gresham. Castro is trying to expand south as the Salem area has a desirable food scene.
According to the Keizer times article, Brix Tavern closed on July 27. It was owned by Urban Restaurant Group, which also manages Margarita Factory. Now, renovations are happening inside the space to make it a Margarita Factory location.
The menus vary by location, with a wide range of margarita flavors like the Las Vegas strip, coco chanel, watermelon paleta and guava lavender. Many tequilas are also available options. Their lunch and dinner menus have fajitas, taquitos, small bites, soups and salads.
The location will be in a commercial area of Keizer at the corner of Keizer Station Boulevard and Stadium Drive. The city is just north of Salem, and around 45 minutes south of Portland.
