After more than a year of anticipation, a popular local Mexican restaurant is giving Memphis foodies a reason to get excited. Planning is officially underway for Margaritas of Arlington, bringing residents one step closer to the brand’s delicious burritos, enchiladas, and fajitas, reports Commercial Appeal.
Margaritas, the brainchild of busy local restaurateur Jose Flores, will be getting an entirely newly constructed building on a 1.699 acre lot at 5429 Airline Road, north of Milton Wilson Boulevard. The 5,750 square foot restaurant will neighbor Sherwin-Williams and will have 68 available parking spaces.
While it is unclear when, precisely, the restaurant will be open to the public, Margaritas of Arlington is moving steadily forward. The concept received a commercial electrical permit from the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development on September 29, and Town Planner Jeremy Credeur confirmed that planning for the restaurant is currently happening. What Now Memphis has reached out to Flores for further information and will update readers as details become available.
Margaritas of Arlington will be bringing local foodies plenty of delicious Mexican options. The menu features favorites including queso dip, quesadillas, burritos, carne asada, tacos, chimichangas, and even an option for diners to craft their own combination dinners.
