The team behind Flora Pizzeria, known for its Roman-style pizzas and casual bites, is preparing to open a new restaurant called Daphne’s at 2 Young Street in Hamilton.

The new bistro is set to move into the space next door to Flora Pizzeria, following the success of the original location at 4 Young Street, according to Urban City. While an exact opening date has not been confirmed, hiring for cooks, servers, and support staff is currently underway. Customers can expect a Eurocentric menu highlighting the culinary talents behind Flora, promising everything but pizza, according to Daphne’s social media.

Flora Pizzeria, owned and operated by Aydin Kinnaird and Jesse Bierman, will continue to operate at its original location. Daphne’s will expand the team’s culinary offerings and showcase new dishes beyond their signature pizza. The new restaurant is part of a broader trend of small Hamilton eateries growing into full-service concepts while keeping roots in local community favorites.

The location at 2 Young Street positions Daphne’s near a busy stretch of the city, making it easily accessible for both regulars of Flora Pizzeria and new diners. The move into the adjacent space allows for branding continuity while offering a distinct experience from the takeaway-focused original location.

Menu details are currently under wraps, but Daphne’s promises a European-inspired bistro approach. Social media indicates that the restaurant will serve a variety of dishes while emphasizing the same quality and craftsmanship found at Flora Pizzeria.
