Odd Duck Market is ready to spread its wings again, opening a third location just months after announcing a second outpost.
Owners Jared Hellman and Andrew Hare are bringing their community-focused cafe and market to Summerville, set inside a Victorian home.
“You’ll find us at 117 S Cedar Street inside an 1873 Victorian that made us stop mid-sentence when we first walked in. Original mantels, 11-foot ceilings, the whole deal. The second we saw it, we knew—this had to be our most ambitious project yet. Same ducks, new pond. Except this pond is a 150-year-old beauty that’s about to smell like bacon, focaccia, and espresso,” the cafe shared on social media.
The original outpost is located at 1082 E. Montague Ave. in North Charleston, while the second is set to open at 637 Rutledge Ave. downtown.
The new location will serve fan favorites such as coffee, wine, sandwiches and “enough snacks to feed the entire town.”
The drink menu features drip coffee, lattes, matcha and espresso drinks with whole, oat, almond or coconut milk. Additions include Uplift CBD tinctures and syrups such as vanilla, mocha, salted caramel and lavender. The cafe also serves wine and wine cocktails, including mimosas, seasonal spritzes and a sake Bloody Mary.
Standout breakfast sandwiches include sausage or bacon with egg and cheddar, topped with garlic aioli on a bagel or bialy, and smoked salmon with creamy goat cheese, tomato, capers and red onion on a toasted bagel. Lunch options feature Italian, turkey and roast beef sandwiches, available as a wrap or on focaccia.
Officials have not announced opening dates for either location; updates are available on the cafe’s website, Facebook and Instagram.
