A small but mighty DMV-area chain is getting ready to help slake the thirst of Potomac residents. Puree Juice Bar, which has been serving delicious and healthful cold-press juices, cleanses, and shakes since 2011, will be opening a new location in the Cabin John Village shopping center next year.

The concept will be offering guests nutritious (but still tasty) options at 7937 Tuckerman Lane. Puree Juice Bar owner Dyala Madani generously made some time to speak with What Now DC about why she and her team wanted to bring the brand to the area, calling it a: “vibrant, health-conscious community that values quality, sustainability, and local connections. Cabin John Village is a natural extension of our Bethesda roots, serving families and professionals who already visit our flagship.”

Madani-alongside Kaveh Shirazi-took over Puree ownership from founder Amy Waldman earlier this year. While the pair will be implementing some minor alterations, they’re maintaining the central ethos of the company-and most importantly, the heart that drives it. “The core of Purée remains the same – 100% organic, cold-pressed juices and plant-based goodness in glass bottles, organic functional smoothies, and a plant forward organic menu.” Madani states. “We are moving away from 100% vegan, but will continue to be plant forward, vegetarian and have a mostly vegan menu. We’re reimagining the experience to feel warmer, more modern, and more community focused.”

Puree will also be taking advantage of its new space to broaden its menu. Madani explains: “We are expanding our food and hot drinks menu as well as our delicious organic soups. The goal is to evolve without losing the authenticity that our loyal customers love.”

Locals entirely unfamiliar with the concept have plenty to look forward to. Madani offers this enticing glimpse at the concept’s offerings: “Purée is an artisan juice and wellness bar offering 100% organic, raw, cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and plant forward foods made fresh daily. We never use high-pressure processing (HPP), and everything is bottled in glass to avoid plastics and chemicals. Think of Purée as clean, nutrient-dense fuel for a vibrant lifestyle crafted with care, sustainability, and transparency at its heart. We are the only truly raw, organic, cold pressed juice serving the DMV area and are proud to ship our juices frozen nationally”

Future customers can look forward to stopping into Puree’s Cabin John Village storefront next spring. Madani states that the team is hoping to be open by March of 2026.

Puree Juice Bar promises to be an oasis of relaxation and refreshment for both the body and the mind. Madani sums it up beautifully, saying: “The physical space that will be Purée Cabin John Village…will reflect our brand of elevated wellness; a sanctuary to pause and nourish.”
