Southern Hospitality, the restaurant group known for its casual-yet-elegant restaurants such as North Beach Fish Camp and Marker 32, is opening a new restaurant in St. Augustine.
St. Johns County has approved plans for Trout Creek Restaurant, according to the Jacksonville Business Journal. The restaurant, which lists Trout Creek Fish Camp, LLC and chef Benjamin Groshell as its owner, has been approved for a 6,689 square foot restaurant, along with a 330 square-foot outdoor courtyard to be located at 6595 State Road 31 North, according to St. Johns County records. The restaurant already owns and operates St. Augustine Fish Camp.
Founded by Benjamin and Liza Groshell, the Florida-based Southern Table Hospitality owns and operates several restaurants that range from seafood restaurants like Dockside Seafood to meat-centric spots like Valley Smoke. The company’s goal is to create an environment of warmth and hospitality. On its website, co-owner Ben Groshell notes, “We create environments where our guests feel welcome, and we consistently offer superior food and beverages. Our hands-on approach to hospitality fosters long-term customer loyalty to all our brands. Hospitality, integrity, professionalism, dedication, discipline and innovation are the core values we stand by.”
The restaurant group sources its seafood from its own processing and distribution company called Southern Provisions. Established in 2017, the company also provides meats, cheeses, and locally sourced and sustainable provisions to restaurants throughout Florida.
