Five Below is expanding its Jacksonville presence with a new store planned for Mandarin, giving shoppers another spot to browse the retailer’s mix of affordable toys, tech accessories, room décor, beauty products, candy and more.
The new location is planned for 12300 San Jose Blvd. in Mandarin, where Five Below is renovating the former Party City space.
The project is part of the retailer’s continued expansion across the country. Five Below currently operates several Jacksonville-area stores, including locations at Market at Town Center, Southside Square, River City Marketplace, Gateway Town Center and Argyle Village.
The Mandarin store will follow Five Below’s familiar format, with merchandise organized across categories including Tech, Style, Room, Play, Create, Party, Candy, Sports and New & Now. The company says most of its products are priced between $1 and $5, with some items available at higher price points.
Shoppers can expect a rotating selection of products ranging from phone accessories and headphones to toys, games, beauty products, sports equipment, seasonal merchandise, snacks and items for bedrooms and other living spaces.
The retailer describes its stores as a treasure-hunt-style shopping experience, with new and seasonal products regularly moving through the assortment. That means the selection can change frequently, giving customers a reason to stop in and see what’s new.
Five Below was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Philadelphia. The company has grown to more than 1,800 stores across 44 states, according to its latest company profile.
An official opening date for the Mandarin store has not been announced.
