Hello Nori, Canada’s premier Japanese hand roll bar, known for its curated temaki menu and minimalist West Coast aesthetic, is getting ready to open its next Toronto location in Yorkville at 1250 Bay Street.

The company’s Yorkville restaurant was first reported by What Now Toronto earlier this year, and new details have since emerged about the updated timeline. The opening is now planned for the first quarter of 2026, according to Toronto.com. The Yorkville site will become Hello Nori’s eighth location across Canada and will arrive shortly before the brand debuts its first Calgary restaurant later in the same year. Guests can expect the same lineup of hand rolls and design elements that define the existing Toronto stores, along with menu additions created specifically for Yorkville.

Hello Nori continues to expand its presence in Toronto following the recent openings on King Street West and York Street. The Yorkville space will incorporate the brand’s signature wood ceiling and warm, modern finishes inspired by the flagship Vancouver restaurant on Robson Street. The team has confirmed that Chef Jay Pugong is developing exclusive offerings for the new site, aligning the menu with the neighborhood’s more premium dining landscape. This location will also maintain the brand’s focus on ingredients sourced from both Canadian suppliers and established partners in Japan.

Founded in Vancouver, Hello Nori has built its reputation on a streamlined hand-roll experience, supported by consistent sourcing and seasonal ingredients. The company’s steady expansion reflects its approach to creating a uniform dining environment that still adapts to each city it enters. The Yorkville restaurant will continue this model by balancing the brand’s established identity with a few features tailored to the area.

Menu highlights at the upcoming location will include customer favorites such as Ora King Salmon, Truffle Lobster, Hokkaido Scallop, Spicy Bluefin Tuna, and Octopus. These items will be joined by new dishes designed exclusively for the Yorkville space. This will be an excellent landing space for Hello Nori, given the neighborhood’s steady foot traffic and concentration of established restaurants.
