Anderson Hay & Grain has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy as it works to reorganize its operations. The Washington-based hay and forage exporter, along with several of its affiliates, is facing financial challenges.

Anderson Hay & Grain Seeks Bankruptcy Protection

According to Pacer, Anderson Hay & Grain appeared in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Washington for a Chapter 11 process. The latest filing was made on November 26.

Since its founding in 1960, Anderson Hay & Grain has supplied local retailers and international partners in over 30 countries. The family-led Washington business handles everything from planting and harvesting to exporting hay and forage products.

The latest bankruptcy case of Anderson Hay & Grain is being supervised by Judge Whitman L Holt. James L. Day and Lesley D. Bohleber from Bush Kornfeld LLP are offering legal representation to the Washington-based hay and forage exporter in the case.

Latest Filing Activities

On November 26, Attorney James L. Day filed a voluntary Chapter 11 petition on behalf of Anderson Hay & Grain. The fee amount for the same was $1,738.

The Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Washington then instructed the hay and forage exporter to submit the Summary of Schedules, Schedule D, Schedule G, and Schedule H by December 10. Further, the Washington-based business’s deadline for Disclosure Statement and Schedule A/B is December on the same date.

Other than these, the hay and forage exporter has been instructed to submit its incomplete filings on December 10, 2025. Whereas, its Chapter 11 Plan must be submitted in the Washington Eastern Bankruptcy Court by March 26, 2026.

After this, Lesley D. Bohleber, while representing Anderson Hay & Grain, requested a joint administration of lead case 25-02074 with 25-02075, 25-02076, 25-02077, 25-02078, 25-02079, and 25-02080. All of these cases were filed by the Washington business’s affiliates.

Lesley D. Bohleber submitted a declaration signed by Anderson Hay & Grain’s Steven Gordon in support of the ex parte motion for an order directing joint administration of the cases.

With the Chapter 11 filing underway, Anderson Hay & Grain aims to stabilize operations and manage its debts.
