Goat Patch Brewing Company is growing the brand name with a taproom in Monument, following its acquisition of Pikes Peak Brewing Company. The brewery, at 1756 Lake Woodmoor Drive, will officially be rebranded, and the Pikes Peak name will be retired, it was announced in a recent press release from the business.
“We see this as a baton being passed, and we’re excited to carry it forward with the same passion and dedication that PPBC has always been known for,” Goat Patch co-owner Cate Baze is quoted as saying.
Founded in 2011, Pikes Peak Brewing was an awarded local watering hole. In honor of its legacy, two of its top-selling beers will still be made and served at the site. The acquisition of the property offers Goat Patch the ability to quadruple production, and it is making some upgrades to the space.
What Now Denver has tracked Goat Patch’s growth in recent years. The local business was founded in 2016 and expanded earlier this year to a second location in Northgate. It has earned multiple industry awards, including gold at the Colorado Springs Independent Best Of awards and silver at the Great American Beer Festival.
