Choice Indian Restaurant, a family-run chain specializing in Indian cuisine, is planning to open new locations in London, Barrie, and Brampton.
The new locations will expand the company’s presence beyond its existing restaurants in Kitchener, Hamilton, Ottawa, Scarborough, Mississauga, and Calgary, according to the company’s website. While exact opening dates have not been announced, the company’s website lists the three new locations as “Coming Soon.” Customers can expect the same focus on fresh ingredients and approachable Indian dishes that have been central to the brand for over 40 years.
Choice was founded in 1979 at Swastik Cross Roads in Ahmedabad, India. The business began as a small family-run eatery offering Bhakri pizza, sandwiches, French fries, Bhel, and Sevpuri. Its growing popularity in Ahmedabad led the founders to expand into multiple locations across India, including Rajkot and Mumbai.
The brand emphasizes customer experience, describing diners as “invited guests to a party” and aiming to enhance every aspect of the meal. Consistency, value, and satisfaction have become hallmarks of the business over its four decades of operation.
The menu features a mix of classic Indian street food and family-style dishes. Offerings include freshly prepared snacks, rice-and-curry combinations, sandwiches, and traditional desserts, complemented by beverages such as milkshakes. The restaurant’s philosophy centers on using fresh ingredients and crafting dishes with care and attention to flavor.
The expansion into London, Barrie, and Brampton marks the company’s first foray into these Canadian markets. With its established reputation in other cities, Choice Indian Restaurant aims to bring authentic, casual Indian dining to new communities while maintaining the same level of quality and hospitality found at its existing locations.
