Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, a coffee franchise celebrated for its premium Hawaiian coffees, strong community connections, adventurous spirit, and vibrant café experience opened the doors to its newest location in Little Elm on December 29. Located at 11700 FM 423, Suite 110 in the Shops of Panther Creek, the new location will offer handcrafted coffees with a kick, branded merchandise, and a craveable food menu with a Hawaiian twist.

Bad Ass Coffee in Little Elm is owned and operated by local entrepreneurs Rushik Solanki and Ankush Agrawal. Solanki comes from a background in business management, training, and operations, while Agrawal offers years of construction and property management expertise. The Little Elm cafe marks the first of five Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii locations the business partners plan to open across the Dallas Fort Worth market, beginning their long-term vision of growing the Bad Ass Coffee brand throughout North Texas.

“Bad Ass Coffee immediately stood out to us for its deep connection to culture, quality, and community,” said Solanki in a statement. “The brand’s emphasis on ohana and its long-standing relationships with Hawaiian coffee farmers reflect a level of authenticity that makes opening our first cafe in Little Elm an exciting step as we bring that experience to more communities across the Dallas Fort Worth area.”

Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii was born on the Big Island of Hawaii in 1989 with the dream of sharing American-grown, premium Hawaiian coffee with customers everywhere. Beyond premium Hawaiian coffees sourced from Kauai, Maui, and the famous Kona region of the Big Island, Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii serves up a full menu of blended drinks, signature lattes, cold brews, teas, innovative foods with a Hawaiian twist, and branded merchandise. Guests can enjoy an island-inspired escape from their everyday with nods to the brand’s Hawaiian roots.

“Rushik and Ankush are exactly the type of passionate operators we look for as we grow the Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii brand,” said Iain Douglas, Chief Brand Officer at Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii. “Their commitment to quality, culture, and community makes Little Elm a natural fit for our continued growth in the Dallas Fort Worth market, and we are excited to support their long-term expansion across the region.”

Embracing an adventurous spirit, the brand’s name pays tribute to the stubborn and hardworking donkeys of the Big Island, named the “Bad Ass Ones” by the people of Kona for their courageous work carrying precious loads of coffee beans down the steep mountainside. The legend of those donkeys lives on today at Bad Ass Coffee, and the brand honors them by encouraging guests to “fuel their inner badass” every day.

Guests are invited to join ‘Ohana Rewards, Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii’s loyalty program. New ‘Ohana Rewards members will receive $5 off and 89 Lei (points) after their first purchase as a member.
