A local brewery operating out of a farmhouse is coming to downtown Newberg for their second location.

Wolves & People is the newest brewery coming to downtown at 107 N Meridian Street, per an article from The New School. This will be going in the city’s oldest building that once shared the Newberg Graphic Newspaper. Owner Christian DeBenedetti told What Now Portland he is hoping to open by February.

“We’ve always wanted to do something like this,” de Benedetti said.

The brewery obviously has many beers flowing, but the farmhouse also served food items like snack platters, corned uncured salami and trail mix. From The New School article, there will still be food served, coming from the adjacent restaurant which has not yet been announced.

Renovations have been happening since March, and the space will also feature a stage for music shows. He wants to create a space that welcomes local artists of all kinds. Close to the new location are Lyrics Cafe, Bronco Kelly’s bar and Berg Bites.

The project has just been announced, and updates on construction are expected to be provided soon. For more information on the new location and beer menu, visit their website.
