Ramen Isshin, a Japanese ramen restaurant known for its wok-prepared broths and broad noodle selection, is preparing to open a new location at 5080 Hurontario Street in Mississauga.

The company’s new location will open on the ground floor of the Gemma Condos, according to a building report from the City of Mississauga Planning and Building Department. While an exact opening date has yet to be announced, a recent job posting for the restaurant notes that staff training is scheduled to begin in mid-February, suggesting the restaurant could open in late February or March 2026. The Mississauga opening will mark another expansion for the brand within the Greater Toronto Area. Customers can expect the same ramen-focused menu offered at the company’s existing locations.

Ramen Isshin was founded in Toronto and operates its original location on College Street, which remains one of its most established shops. The brand has since expanded across Ontario with locations in Toronto, Vaughan, Hamilton, and Ottawa. Beyond Ontario, Ramen Isshin also operates several franchise locations throughout Quebec. Each restaurant follows a consistent format centered on ramen prepared to order.

The Mississauga location will join a lineup of urban and suburban restaurants that emphasize accessibility and repeat visits. Its placement within a residential development provides built-in traffic from nearby residents while remaining accessible to office workers and commuters. This will be an excellent landing space for Ramen Isshin as it continues to grow beyond Toronto proper. The opening aligns with ongoing development along Hurontario Street.

The menu centers on wok-prepared ramen bowls, including the brand’s signature Red Miso ramen. Additional offerings include shoyu, shio, tsukemen dipping ramen, and several vegetarian options. Customers can also choose from appetizers such as karaage, gyoza, and takoyaki, as well as rice bowls and desserts.

Ramen Isshin’s continued expansion reflects steady demand for its core concept and streamlined operations. With multiple locations already established across Eastern Canada, the Mississauga restaurant represents a logical next step for the brand. The new site will bring another familiar ramen option to the city’s growing dining scene.
