The team behind Gig Harbor’s Morso Bistro is launching a new dining concept this summer.
Siblings Trish Huff and Nick Hosea are bringing The Midway to 3118 Harborview Dr., taking over the former Heritage Distilling Co. space, according to a Facebook post.
In an October social media post, the distillery said it would close its doors on Dec. 31, just before the new year. A few weeks later, the space is filled.
“THE MIDWAY will be a bustling deli, bakery, and market rooted in what we love most: healthy eating, thoughtful food made with intention, and genuine community connection. We believe it will be a welcoming place for all ages–a go-to stop for locals and visitors alike,” the post read.
Huff and Hosea share a long-held passion and are excited to embark on this “new adventure.”
The Gig Harbor Waterfront Alliance shares in the enthusiasm.
“This is such a fantastic addition to our historic downtown! We are thrilled to see Trish and Nick bringing this vision to life. A deli, bakery, and market is exactly what our community needs, and we can’t wait to feel THE MIDWAY energy in that space. Made here, made well, we’re counting down the days until early summer!” the group shared via Facebook.
While The Midway doesn’t have an official opening date yet, the owners invite guests to follow along on Facebook for behind-the-scenes updates as they build out the space.
