Ragin Cajun Cafe, a longtime staple in the South Bay dining scene, has left diners surprised by its closure announcement. After 32 years of serving Cajun comfort food with Louisiana flair, the restaurant is closing, leaving a lasting mark on the local community.

The Final Days of Ragin Cajun Cafe, the End of a Local Legacy

Ragin Cajun Cafe was established in the early 1990s in Hermosa Beach, bringing authentic Cajun cuisine to the South Bay from Lafayette, Louisiana. Over the years, Ragin Cajun Cafe built a loyal following in the South Bay. After losing its lease, it pivoted to a food truck before settling at its longtime Redondo Beach location.

Earlier this month, Ragin Cajun Cafe announced its permanent closure, stating that ‘it’s time for a change.’ The restaurant thanked diners for 32 years of support and shared memories.

While the restaurant did not cite specific reasons for closing, the announcement focused on gratitude, celebrating the end of a beloved local chapter.

The outlet at 525 S Pacific Coast Hwy, Redondo Beach, CA 90277, served the neighborhood for 11 and a half years, and will permanently close on March 1, 2026. Until March 1, patrons can enjoy their favorite dishes one last time and celebrate decades of memories.

Although precise times and services can change, the team has still promoted customers to visit it in February to be part of the send-off:
