Tekila Restaurant Group is preparing for its next act, following its recent successful launch of Fuego Vivo. The busy hospitality group is making progress on a new concept called Zona 55, set to open in Senatobia.

The Mexican restaurant is taking over the 181 Norfleet Drive storefront that previously housed Applebee’s. Photos of Zona 55 show an establishment that appears largely finished with a dumpster outside. The interior appears to still be in progress, however it is clear Tekila Group is nearing the finish line on this new project.

There is not currently a great deal of information available about Zona 55; the restaurant has no digital footprint yet. However Tekila Group has set a high standard for Mexican cuisine with its existing restaurants, including Tekila Mexican Steakhouse and Fuego Vivo.

Tekila’s controller Ricardo Rivera offers this insight into the hospitality group’s ethos-a statement that should inspire plenty of enthusiasm for what Zona 55 will offer: “We want to stand out by the service we provide. I can go to an amazing restaurant and have the greatest food in the world, but if I don’t feel comfortable, if I don’t feel welcome, I probably won’t return. For me, service is top priority.”
