An all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant concept is replacing the former Bono’s Pit Bar-B-Q space in Centennial.
Signage for a new eatery called Kinoya Sushi & Izakaya was recently spotted outside of the 9393 East Dry Creek Rd space. Notably, the upcoming concept is not affiliated with the Michelin-recommended, Dubai-based Kinoya, despite sharing a name with the restaurant.
Instead, the project is led by local restaurateur Skye Ni, who also owns Shoyu Sushi & Japanese Cuisine in Parker. Ni told What Now Denver that Kinoya will take an upscale AYCE approach. “Our goal is to bring a more elevated AYCE experience to the area by focusing not just on variety, but also on quality and presentation,” he said.
The menu will be structured into two tiers. The Classic menu will offer a broad selection of approachable favorites, including sushi rolls, nigiri, maki, appetizers, dim sum, and hot dishes such as ramen, fried rice, and tempura.
The Premium menu builds on that foundation with more upscale offerings like sashimi—including tuna, salmon, yellowtail, eel, and more—along with specialty rolls, oysters, and elevated hot items such as short ribs and yakitori. Optional add-ons are also planned, including A5 wagyu and uni for guests looking for a more indulgent experience.
Beyond sushi, Kinoya will emphasize small plates and variety-driven dining. Guests can expect items like garlic green beans, rock shrimp, and miso butter mussels, along with desserts such as tiramisu, crêpe cake, and matcha ice cream.

“Conceptually, Kinoya is about creating a space where guests can explore a wide range of Japanese-inspired dishes in a relaxed, modern setting—whether it’s a casual night out, family gathering, or group dining experience,” explained Ni.
The restaurant is currently in the final stages of preparation and is expected to open “very soon,” pending construction timelines. “We’re excited to introduce something new to the Centennial dining scene and hope to become a go-to spot for the local community,” Ni said.
