Highwire Coffee‘s coffee beans have earned widespread praise across social media, and East Bay fans may soon have even more locations to enjoy. CEO Jeff Weinstein confirmed plans to expand the coffee roasting company and café brand’s footprint in the region, according to the San Francisco Business Times, saying, “there’s a lot of room in the East Bay, and rather than drop into new territories, we’re going to infill the East Bay and expand outward from there.”

Weinstein noted that maintaining Highwire Coffee’s signature product freshness across all locations remains a priority, requiring coffee beans to be delivered to each store at least three times a week. To support that operation, any new coffeehouses would need to be located near the company’s roastery at 4059 Emery St in Emeryville, in the East Bay area.

With a characteristic it likes to call “approachable excellence,” Highwire Coffee started in Oakland, connecting coffee and music enthusiasts and offering a wide, diverse range of roasts, from light caramel to chocolatey dark beans.

Highwire’s Alameda location, at 1234 Park Street, features signature beverages such as the Strawberry Cruel Palmer, a summery blend of Cruel Summer iced tea, lemonade, and Super Jugoso strawberry syrup, as well as the Cruel Palmer, the brand’s version of an Arnold Palmer made with iced tea and lemonade.

Coffee lovers can also enjoy the Spring Mint Matcha Latte, made with Japanese matcha, mint syrup, and lightly textured steamed milk, or the Spring Mint Mocha, which combines chocolate sauce and spearmint syrup for a cool twist on the traditional mocha.
