A New Jersey-based vegan soul food restaurant is set to open in the City of Brotherly Love.
Vegans Are Us, owned by Sharonda Harris-Bunton and Darren Bunton, is slated to debut in Chinatown Square at 1016 Race St. The eatery previously had roots in Vineland and Atlantic City, according to its Instagram page.
“Done deal!! Been working and negotiating behind the scenes! Can finally officially announce. Stay tuned for Vegans Are Us Philly! Coming to Center City Philly very soon,” the post read.
The menu will feature classic burgers, handhelds, soups and salads, all with a plant-based twist on everyday favorites.

To complement the main dishes, sides include sweet potato fries, collard greens, seasoned brown rice, potato salad and green beans.
For early risers, the menu also includes vegan breakfast options such as homemade chicken and waffles, cinnamon banana oatmeal, avocado toast and omelettes.
An official opening date has not yet been announced, however, follow along on Instagram and Facebook for the latest updates.
