Flavor Hive may have just opened a new Richmond location but the enormously popular food-truck-turned-dining-sensation shows no signs of hitting the brakes. The eatery is signed on to bring a new brick-and-mortar location to Waldorf, and it looks like locals will be able to enjoy its celebrated fare before the year is over.

Flavor Hive will be opening its second Maryland storefront at 10440 O’Donnell Place. The fusion eatery will be occupying half of the building which previously housed Boston’s Gourmet Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar, while the other half will be dedicated to The Creek Sports Bar & Restaurant.

While Flavor Hive does not have a firm or definitive opening date for its new Waldorf home, boots on the ground confirm that it should be customer ready in about four weeks, suggesting a late summer or early autumn arrival.

Flavor Hive has good news for Waldorf foodies who can’t fathom waiting that long to sample the concept’s cuisine; the eatery has set up a food truck on the site of its next storefront, serving up the fare that made it such a social media dynamo from 6 to 10 pm on weekdays and from noon to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

Flavor Hive has been steadily growing across the DMV, drawing in crowds particularly through its fan-favorite “bring-your-own-bag” option-visitors bring a bag of chips of their choice to the restaurant and Flavor Hive loads it up with a selection of toppings, including meats, sauces, and plenty of extras.
