OAKBERRY Açaí, the Brazilian fast-casual açaí bowl brand, is preparing to open several new Ontario locations as part of a broader Canadian expansion scheduled for 2026.

The Ontario growth includes planned locations in Windsor at Devonshire Mall, London at Masonville Mall, Hamilton at Lime Ridge Mall, and Ottawa at Bayshore Mall, according to Retail Insider. Many of the Canadian openings are expected to roll out through summer 2026, with some stores launching alongside promotions, giveaways, and sampling events. Customers can expect OAKBERRY’s build-your-own açaí bowls, smoothies, and SOAR Organics matcha lattes, served in a quick service format focused on grab and go convenience.

OAKBERRY Açaí’s Canadian expansion is being led through Snowbank Brands, which holds the Canadian rights to the concept. CEO Carter Friesen leads the company and is targeting more than 40 stores across Canada by the end of 2026. Globally, OAKBERRY operates roughly 1,000 locations, positioning it as one of the larger açaí-focused chains expanding into the Canadian market.

The Ontario locations are part of a wider multi-province rollout that also includes British Columbia, Alberta, and Manitoba. In British Columbia, new stores are planned for Victoria, including Tuscany Village, Downtown, and Saanich, along with Kelowna’s Orchard Park Mall, Richmond, and Vancouver’s Kerrisdale neighborhood. Alberta’s expansion includes Edmonton’s Glenora area, while Manitoba will see a location open in Winnipeg’s Bridgwater district.

The brand is focused on high-volume, fast-service environments designed around customizable bowls and smoothies. Stores are typically designed with a bright, modern layout, emphasizing speed and accessibility for customers seeking quick, health-focused meals or snacks throughout the day.

In addition to açaí bowls, the menu includes smoothies and matcha lattes, with toppings and add-ons allowing for a highly customizable experience. This will be an excellent landing space for OAKBERRY Açaí as it pushes deeper into the Ontario market, with multiple mall-based locations scheduled to open through 2026.
