Following the success of their restaurant chain, a new concept is brewing.
The owners of Black Label Tavern just received approval from the City of Livonia to create a new concept at 35841 Plymouth Road. The team has not yet announced a name, but chatter is happening about the new restaurant on social media. Co-owner of Black Label Tavern Greg Marselis told What Now Detroit it will open in about a year-and-a-half once construction is completed.
Black Label Tavern was opened by Marselis and Markos Goulas in 2017 at 34110 Plymouth Road. The restaurant serves shareables, salads, handhelds and entrees, now operating in Shelby Township and Milford as well. Now, Marselis and the team are drafting up plans for the new concept.
“It will be a beautiful restaurant,” Marselis said.
The unnamed dining spot will be built on the south side of Plymouth Road, across from the Ford Livonia Transmission Plant. This is close to concepts on the road like Punjab Indian Cuisine and Sumo Japanese Grill. Right now, the land is vacant.
Outdoor seating will also be featured at the restaurant. Marselis said he and the architects are now working on renderings for the space. As the team breaks ground and construction progresses, he will be updating the community on a more firm opening date.
