A neighborhood mini market at 161 Hyde Street is set for a refresh as Hyde & Turk Market prepares to serve San Francisco’s Tenderloin community with an expanded selection of everyday essentials.
An opening date for Hyde & Turk Market has not yet been announced. Still, owner Ala Fahd Alghaithi told What Now San Francisco that the goal is to transform the store into a more complete neighborhood grocery destination.
“We are planning on upgrading the store,” Alghaithi said. “We will be accepting EBT payments and adding a produce section with fresh fruits and vegetables.”
In addition to fresh produce, Hyde & Turk Market will offer a significantly broader grocery selection, including frozen foods, canned goods and an expanded dairy department.
“We also plan on having a large frozen food section and canned goods,” Alghaithi said. “We will also provide different options of dairy products.”
The improvements are intended to give nearby residents greater access to essential groceries in a neighborhood where convenient food options are especially valuable.
