A new health club in development in West Midtown will seek to remove the guesswork from wellness strategies. Dr. Courtney Perez is harnessing her healthcare background to craft Aegle Health Club at 1737 Ellsworth Industrial Ave, Suite G, at The Complex in West Midtown.

“My vision here is to have a holistic health club that incorporates all of the person with a customized process,” Perez told What Now Atlanta. “My goal is to help people look at their fitness and wellness in a positive light instead of it being a chore that has to get done.”

The forthcoming 15,500-square-foot boutique gym, whose name is a nod to Aegle, the Greek goddess of good health, will aim to bring a science-backed approach to luxury fitness and wellness. Construction is still to come at the site and Perez hopes to open the gym in March or April of 2027.

Members will start their time at Aegle with assessments gathering data such as basal metabolic rates, VO2, 3D body compositions, skin analyses and mobility testing. They will then receive a one-hour telehealth visit to go over their data results and formulate an ideal fitness and wellness plan for their goals ranging from workouts to more holistic elements such as nutrition and life coaching.

At the gym, the fitness area will feature a “candyland of fitness options” to adapt to different needs, including AI-integrated strength training machines, a Peloton studio, standard cardio equipment, free weights and infrared sauna rooms with yoga, Pilates and meditation options. There will also be personal trainers available with knowledge about how to use assessment data to focus on specific fitness goals.

Aegle Health Club will feature a wellness studio with cold plunge, red light therapy, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, electromagnetic stimulation, massages, facials, compression therapy, pelvic electromagnetic stimulation, steam rooms and saunas. To round out the luxury gym, there will be a lounge and coworking space along with concierges to assist members.

Perez plans to keep gym membership limited to 600 members to maintain an intimate, community-oriented environment. Eventually, Perez hopes to expand to additional locations.

“We’re designing this to be scalable so we can take it to other sites,” Perez said. “My true goal is for people to connect with themselves and their community and to take away the guesswork and confusion [in fitness and wellness].”

Perez will be launching a small version of Aegle Health Club in late August, featuring some elements including Pilates and massages.
