Fast-Growing BBQ Chain Operating in 12 States to Open First Murfreesboro Location

City Barbeque is expanding its presence in Tennessee with the opening of a new restaurant. The new restaurant will mark the brand’s first location in Murfreesboro. The grand opening will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and giveaways for early customers.

City Barbeque to Open Murfreesboro Location

City Barbeque will open its Middle Tennessee location in Murfreesboro on July 20. The restaurant is located at 107 N. Thompson Lane. It will expand the brand’s presence in Tennessee.

City Barbeque has built its reputation on slow-smoked meats cooked over hickory wood. The menu includes brisket, pulled pork, St. Louis-style ribs, smoked turkey, and other items.

“We’re excited to open our doors in Murfreesboro, but even more excited to become part of the community,” said Mike Muldoon, CEO of City Barbeque. “We know great local restaurants earn their place over time. We look forward to getting to know our neighbors, showing up for the community, and serving great barbeque for years to come.”

The restaurant takes over a 2,972-square-foot space. It is a single-story restaurant with an outdoor patio. The restaurant will offer carryout, delivery, and full-service catering for events. It will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

City Barbeque also announced the opening on social media. The post reads, “Tennessee! Your second City Barbeque location is coming to Murfreesboro. See you soon! 107 N. Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, TN 37129”.

The opening celebration of City Barbeque Murfreesboro will begin with a Rib’n & Ribbon Cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. The celebration will be in partnership with the Rutherford County Chamber. The first 50 customers in line will receive a gift bag.

Gift bags will include a City Barbeque T-shirt, a bottle of the restaurant’s signature sauce, and gift cards valued between $5 and $50.

The Murfreesboro restaurant marks City Barbeque’s continued growth in Tennessee as the chain expands its footprint across the region.
