Locals are wanting the scoop on a new spot coming to a shopping center in the city.

Gerdom Realty recently revealed a new lease was signed for Humble Kitchen at 9287 Wayne Road in the Wayneport shopping center. This is listed as an ice cream shop for the area. Right now, there is not yet an announced opening date as the space was recently acquired.

In the post from the realty company, Humble Kitchen is also described as a coffee shop. The menu has not yet been released, but those visiting can expect both ice cream and drinks to be served in the 1,200-square-foot space. There is no other business in the area under this name.

The new concept will be on the east side of Wayne Road, sharing the building with China Chef and Romulus Beauty Supply. The address was formerly Lizzy Lit Hookah tobacco store. This is only a few blocks from Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

Humble Kitchen is being opened by local Tiffany White. What Now Detroit has reached out to White and is awaiting comment.
