A fast-growing plant-based burger chain is preparing to make its Ohio debut, with Columbus among its first expansion markets.
According to 614Now, Slutty Vegan has signed agreements to open locations in Columbus and Cleveland this fall. The announcement was made on July 3, marking the brand’s first entry into the Buckeye State.
Founded by entrepreneur and reality television personality Aisha “Pinky” Cole Hayes, Slutty Vegan launched in Atlanta in 2018 as a food truck before expanding into a brick-and-mortar restaurant chain. The concept has become known for its playful branding and entirely plant-based menu, which features burgers, sandwiches and fries with names such as The One Night Stand, Sloppy Toppy and Hooker Fries.
In a press release distributed through PR Newswire, Cole Hayes said Ohio was a natural fit for the brand’s next phase of growth.
She explained that the state’s bold, hardworking spirit aligns with the values Slutty Vegan was built on and said the company looks forward to creating opportunities, building a lasting presence and showing that plant-based dining can be both approachable and flavourful.
Expansion throughout Ohio will be led by Soul Republic Hospitality Group, an Ohio-based hospitality company. Additional information about the Columbus and Cleveland locations, including addresses, opening dates and development updates, is expected to be announced as the project moves forward.
Slutty Vegan previously introduced its menu to Columbus during a one-day stop on its national tour earlier this year, giving local diners an early taste of the concept.
What Now Columbus reached out to Soul Republic Hospitality Group to learn more about the upcoming Columbus location, including its planned site, opening timeline and what guests can expect. This article may be updated as more information becomes available.
