A fresh take on Roman-style pizza is headed to Boston’s North End.
Pinsa Piazza is preparing to move into the former Taranta space at 210 Hanover Street, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. Business records tie the project to Dolvero LLC, which had previously filed plans for a restaurant called Maria Forno at the address. The earlier name was believed to be a placeholder before the concept evolved into Pinsa Piazza.
Owner Charles Terrill confirmed that Pinsa Piazza is coming to the North End but said it’s still too early to share many specifics. “Every day is like a 50-50 jump ball on everything,” Terrill told What Now Boston. He added that he’ll be sure to share more details once plans are further along.
While much of the concept remains under wraps for now, early teasers offer a glimpse at what’s to come. Boston Restaurant Talk reports that signage at the restaurant advertises Roman pizza made using a 72-hour fermentation process.
Meanwhile, Pinsa Piazza’s Facebook page mentions that the restaurant will specialize in Roman pinsa crafted with simple, authentic ingredients that celebrate “Italian soul” and “Roman heritage.”
“We’re here,” reads a recent post from the business. “Something special is coming.”
An official opening date has not yet been announced. What Now Boston will update this story as more details—including the full menu, opening timeline, and additional plans for the restaurant—are revealed.
