Rōmyō is set to bring a distinctive Japanese-Italian dining experience to Larimer Square, combining two culinary traditions under one roof in Downtown Denver.
The new restaurant from Frank Bonanno will open at 1401 Larimer Street, introducing a menu that blends Japanese and Italian influences in a way Bonanno believes feels both familiar and unexpected.
Rather than focusing on one cuisine, Rōmyō will showcase the similarities between the two, offering dishes ranging from sushi and ramen to handcrafted pasta.
Bonanno told What Now Media Group it will be a little bit different than just a traditional Japanese or Italian restaurant. “The fusion is bringing two cuisines together, and they have a lot in common. It’s really just a marriage of those two cuisines,” he said.
He said the concept reflects his desire to create something unique while continuing to invest in Downtown Denver.
“I already have a restaurant on Larimer Square, and I’m a big believer in Downtown Denver and the Larimer Square block. I think it’s an amazing street in Downtown Denver, and I’m proud to be a part of it,” he said.
The restaurant will expand Bonanno’s presence in the historic district while adding another original concept to his portfolio.
