The Posh Bagel is opening a new location in Yuba City, with a store planned at 747 Colusa Avenue, according to a “coming soon” listing on the company’s website. The Los Altos original bagel chain, founded in 1992 by Jeffrey Ottoveggio, has been quietly adding locations across the greater Sacramento region, and this marks its next confirmed stop.
The Posh Bagel already has a following in the region, with existing locations in Roseville, Folsom and Davis, along with additional stops confirmed or in the works in Rancho Cordova, El Dorado Hills, Elk Grove and Lincoln. The chain has built its menu around New York-style bagels, bagel sandwiches, bagel dogs and house-made cream cheeses, along with pastries, wraps, smoothies and coffee.
No opening date has been announced yet for the Yuba City location, and specific details on the space, including size and hours, have not been released. The company has said in prior reporting that it aims to reach 100 locations in total, with the Sacramento region playing a large part in that growth.
The Posh Bagel moved its wholesale bakery and headquarters to Sacramento in 2020, a shift that has made it easier and more affordable to expand across the region compared to the company’s original Bay Area base.
