Philz Coffee is preparing to expand in Contra Costa County with a new café at 1975 Diamond Boulevard, Suite C108, in Concord’s Willows Shopping Center, according to The Bay Area Telegrph. While the company has not announced an opening date, the location is already listed as “coming soon” on Philz Coffee’s website.
Situated near Interstate 680, the new café will give Concord residents another destination for Philz’s handcrafted coffee drinks, including customer favorites like the Mint Mojito. Operating hours have yet to be posted, but hiring activity suggests the opening could be approaching, since the company is currently recruiting baristas after previously seeking a general manager for the store.
The new Philz Coffee will be part of a larger redevelopment at The Willows Shopping Center. The café will join several incoming dining concepts, including Mendocino Farms, California Fish Grill, and Cold Stone Creamery, as part of the shopping center’s ongoing transformation.
On its website, Philz Coffee describes its approach by saying, “We do coffee differently.” The company says it is equally committed to serving great-tasting coffee and supporting the communities where it operates.
Philz adds that it begins with sustainably sourced green coffee beans from around the world before roasting and blending them in-house to create what it calls “the perfect cup of love.”
