TAP Brazilian Cafe is expanding its presence in New York City. The new cafe will open in the NoMad neighborhood this month. The store will bring the brand’s popular menu to the community.
TAP Brazilian Cafe to Open in NoMad
TAP Brazilian Cafe is opening its newest location in NoMad at 261 Fifth Avenue. The cafe will open on August 12, marking the brand’s fourth location in New York City. The opening marks TAP’s expansion into another Manhattan neighborhood.
TAP Brazilian Cafe focuses on Brazilian comfort foods and naturally gluten-free dishes. The brand describes itself as a 100% gluten-free Brazilian cafe. It is centered around three specialties: tapioca, açaí, and pão de queijo.
The menu at TAP will feature egg wraps, pão de queijo paninis, smoothies, Brazilian coffee, and seasonal offerings. This makes the cafe suitable for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and lighter meals.
According to a QSR Magazine report, the new cafe’s interior is designed to reflect the vibrant culture and atmosphere of Brazil. It will feature a vibrant design and immersive murals from Rio de Janeiro-based graffiti artist Acme. There will also be a colorful 10-foot sculpture of TAP’s iconic toucan by Luciano Cian at the entrance.
The location will offer comfortable cafe-style seating. The atmosphere is elevated by Bossa Nova beats that capture the spirit of Brazil.

Brand Growth and Future Expansion Plans
The opening is part of TAP’s broader growth across the U.S. The NoMad opening gives TAP a presence in a busy Manhattan neighborhood near Fifth Avenue and Madison Square Park. The location places the brand in a high-foot-traffic corridor surrounded by offices, hotels, retailers, and restaurants.
TAP’s existing locations include Midtown East, Astoria, the Upper West Side, and Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. According to QSR Magazine, the brand has another location coming soon in Coral Gables.
TAP Brazilian Cafe is continuing its expansion across New York City with this opening.
