Qamaria Yemeni Coffee is adding a North Natomas location at 3501 Del Paso Road, according to Sacramento City Councilmember Lisa Kaplan, who announced the news on Facebook. Kaplan represents District 1, which includes the coffee shop’s possible new site.

The Sacramento-area franchise is led by Najla Althaibani, who signed a regional development agreement to open three locations in the greater Sacramento market. She runs the business alongside her family, including her daughter, Fayruz Ali, and her niece, Amal Abdulla.

The Michigan chain, known for its Yemeni-style coffee, first entered the Sacramento region with a cafe in Folsom that opened in 2024. Qamaria has no other local locations at this time, making North Natomas its second stop in the area.

Qamaria is part of a broader wave of Yemeni coffee chains expanding across the Sacramento region in recent years, part of a growing multicultural coffee scene that has drawn attention from local business coverage. The chain’s coffee is built around traditional Yemeni brewing methods, with drinks often featuring spices like cardamom alongside espresso based options and pastries.

With a regional development agreement already in place for three locations, this North Natomas site suggests the second stop in what could become a broader rollout across the Sacramento metro area over the next few years.
