A new salon and spa is taking shape in Coldwater, with Her Again Salon and Spa preparing to open at 21 Butters Ave. The business announced its upcoming arrival on its social media pages, noting that hiring efforts for stylists and staff will begin soon.

The venture is being developed by hairstylist Kyleigh Kafer, who purchased the building earlier this year in March, and has been overseeing an extensive renovation process. At approximately 8,000 square feet, it’s a large space that has needed a decent amount of work.

“We have completely gutted the upstairs portion of the building. The building had not been renovated or restored since it was built in 1980,” she explained to What Now Detroit.

The property was previously home to the Sauk River Athletic Club, as well as serving as the Sauk River Trading Post, an outdoor sports apparel, camping, and fishing outpost. The lower level contains four smaller sports courts, one large court, two locker rooms, and a multipurpose room. The upper level previously contained a small salon, an elliptical room, a lobby, and four offices, leasing records show.

Once completed, Her Again Salon and Spa is expected to accommodate potentially eight women working in creative and beauty-focused roles. The business plans to offer a broad range of services under one roof.

“The salon will offer all hair services, manicure and pedicure services, spray tanning, facials, waxing, eyelash extensions and eyebrow services as well as a future head spa. The goal is to be a full-service, luxury salon!” Kafer said.
