Leon’s Family Dining will host its last dinner after three decades of service, as the owner decides to retire. The restaurant owner shared the closure announcement on social media with a farewell message.
Beloved Leon’s Says Goodbye to Taylor Community
Located at 8787 Telegraph Road in Taylor, Michigan, the restaurant is well known for its laid-back and welcoming atmosphere. It offers a soup bar, breakfast specials, and American comfort food staples. Menu options include eggs Benedict, catfish, coneys, and a grilled chicken breast sandwich.
Leon’s has been a local favorite destination for decades; it is one of the most popular go-to places for large group gatherings or for a casual meal. The restaurant owner, Karim Alitawi, shared the closure announcement on Facebook. Karim wrote that after 30 wonderful years of operation; the restaurant chapter is closing due to retirement.
The owner said, “As I retire, I leave with a heart full of gratitude and countless cherished memories.” The team thanked the community and customers for the support over the years.
Leon’s Family Dining will permanently close on September 13, 2026.
Alitawi added, “I am deeply grateful for the loyalty and support of our customers, employees, friends, and community who made this journey so rewarding.”
