The local staple in St. Louis will be closing its original location permanently. Grace Meat + Three will serve the community for the last time next week, after nine years of service. The restaurant team shared the closure announcement on social media.
Grace Meat + Three Says Goodbye
Located at 4270 Manchester Avenue in St. Louis, Grace Meat + Three will be closing its doors on September 13.
The restaurant is well-known for Southern classic dishes like fried chicken, catfish po’boy, and signature sides like mac and cheese and more. The restaurant serves 100% US farm-raised superior catfish from Noxubee County, Mississippi.
In a social media announcement, the restaurant team said Grace Meat + Three will close after nine years in the Grove. The team also said it plans to focus on its sister restaurant, Chicken + Fish in Crestwood.
The team wrote, “We’re incredibly grateful for every meal, celebration, date night, happy hour, and memory you’ve shared with us. The Grove has been a special part of our story.”
For its last two weeks of operation, the restaurant team encourages the community to visit the restaurant for one more meal.
“Come raise a glass (or a piece of chicken) with us this week as we toast to what has been a wonderful 9 years in the Grove,” added the team.
Community Responses
Following the closure announcement, several regular customers expressed their disappointment on social media.
One of the customers commented, “I guess all good things eventually come to an end. I followed Rick over to Grace from Southern, and we’ve been coming in almost every Saturday for the best chicken around. I’m going to miss the friendly staff there, and I hope they move on to better opportunities.”
Some community members also shared heartfelt messages and cherished memories under the closure announcement post.
“Very disappointed. My favorite fried chicken anywhere. Never miss it when we visit the STL,” wrote one customer.
While Grace Meat + Three in the Grove neighborhood prepares for its last chapter, community members look forward to visiting Crestwood’s Chicken + Fish.
