A market a bit off the beaten path will offer hot and fresh sandwich options for the county.
The Timbers Market team is teasing their location coming to 7033 S Sheridan Road in Sheridan this fall. The building was previously an events center and restaurant, and went through a concept change. New owner Melissa Martin told What Now Detroit she will host a grand opening on Oct. 3, and is hoping to open a week prior.
“Groceries, deli & hot food and catering,” says a recent flyer from the market.
In late July, the previous owners announced the event center and restaurant would close. The venue hosted wedding ceremonies, receptions and other occasions. Originally, it was thought the new market and deli would open in August.
Timbers Market is at intersection of E Sessions Road. This is on the south side of the city, only a three-minute drive south of the city’s downtown. Also at this location is Stryker Hunting Blinds, a company that sells stealth hunting equipment.
Along with deli and hot food items, the business will also sell groceries. Right now, there is no website or social media set up for the business. Martin will be updating the community with more information as it gets closer to the opening.
