One Twenty-Three Burger Co. is moving from a food truck operation into a permanent brick-and-mortar location in Upland, preparing to open at 507 N. Mountain Ave. The business announced the update on social media this week, sharing the accomplishment and encouraging customers to stay tuned for opening details.
Owner Joe Silva told What Now OC that this is the latest evolution for his concept. Now with a permanent storefront, he hopes to grow the fan base for his American Wagyu burgers and accompanying sides. The venture was labeled the #1 food truck in the IE by Forking Around TV.
“We know there are many options for burgers out there, but once you try ours, you’ll understand why we’re different,” he shared.
Silva’s background combines a longtime career in the medical field with years of cooking and catering on the side, before pursuing the F&B industry full-time in 2023. He initially started a taco venture before moving into BBQ, and then eventually settling on burgers.
One Twenty-Three Burger Co. will occupy approximately 1,000 square feet and operate seven days a week from 11 AM to 9 PM, tentatively. The restaurant is expected to accommodate approximately 35 guests and staff two to three employees per shift. Silva is actively recruiting for both cook and front-of-house positions.
