Something wild is about to bloom in Capitol Hill.

Wild Tulips is preparing to open this October, bringing a new sapphic bar to Denver with a 1970s-inspired vibe, cocktails, dancing, drag shows, trivia and a space built around community.

The new bar is planned for 1202 E. 13th Avenue and comes from a team with ties to Denver’s queer nightlife scene. Owner Sabina Palermo previously worked at The Pearl, the former Denver sapphic bar, alongside members of the Wild Tulips team according to Westword.

Palermo is joined by Lennon Doggett, with Emma Rosenfeld serving as general manager and Lexy Lappin leading events.

The space will lean heavily into a 1970s aesthetic, with velvet, animal print, retro-inspired details and a moody atmosphere. It is being designed as a place to grab a drink, meet up with friends and settle in for the night.

Wild Tulips will center its programming around sapphic nightlife while welcoming the broader queer community. Guests can expect events including drag shows, trivia, dancing and other gatherings.

According to the business, the idea is to create a space where people can connect, celebrate and enjoy a night out in an environment built with the sapphic community in mind.

The team behind Wild Tulips is also carrying some of the spirit of The Pearl into the new venture, with several former team members expected to be involved according to the news outlet.

With its retro look and community-focused approach, Wild Tulips is shaping up to be a colorful new addition to Capitol Hill’s nightlife scene.

More information about the upcoming bar can be found at Wild Tulips.
