Toronto doughnut shop Isabella’s, known for its mochi doughnuts, is adding a full-service restaurant to its lineup this fall. It will reopen its former shop at 4 St. Patrick St., welcoming Isabella’s back to the space alongside new restaurant Araceli.
Araceli will serve Filipino cuisine, including fast-casual options such as bowls and sandwiches, according to Insauga.
David and Cecilia Noon are behind Isabella’s. They launched the brand as a restaurant in 2016, but the pandemic forced them to downsize and pivot to focusing on their popular mochi doughnuts. The team now operates five shops for Isabella’s, featuring various flavors ranging from leche flan mochi to ube mochi.
The grand opening will be on Sept. 19, with the team ushering in the new concept with a Filipino-style fiesta.
