An intimate omakase restaurant is expanding its Manhattan footprint.

Uka Omakase will debut its second location at 277 W. 22nd St. in West Chelsea, joining its flagship restaurant on the Upper East Side, according to a liquor license application.

The space will feature two sushi bars, one with 12 seats and another with 32 seats in the center of the room, along with a standing bar.

Omakase is a Japanese dining style where the chef selects and prepares a series of dishes for guests. The omakase menu will highlight a selection of traditional Japanese seafood, including hamachi, madai, botan uni, ikura, zuke akami, chutoro, otoro caviar, hotate, saba, kampachi, salmon, unagi and toro hand rolls.

The sushi rice is made from a unique blend of rice sourced from five regions of Japan, while the fish is also sourced from Japan. Each cut is aged, marinated and prepared to highlight the fish’s natural savory flavor.

“Our philosophy is simple: let the ingredients shine, and let the chef’s craftsmanship elevate the experience,” the website reads.

The flagship location is reservation-only, with a tasting menu changing nightly and can accommodate dietary restrictions. It remains unclear whether the new location will follow the same format.

An official opening date has not yet been announced. Once open, Uka Omakase is expected to operate from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.
