Café Hagen plans to open at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, where the concept is listed as The Café Hagen Hall, according to a Port of Seattle announcement.
Construction schedules will vary across the 17 new dining and retail spaces included in the Port’s announcement, with work on some expected to begin in 2027. An exact opening date for Café Hagen’s airport location has not yet been announced.
Owner Maria Beck opened the first Café Hagen in South Lake Union in 2019 after moving to Seattle from Scandinavia. The concept draws inspiration from hygge, the Scandinavian idea of creating comfort and enjoying simple daily moments.
Café Hagen also operates Hagen Coffee Roasters and Freya Bakery, which supply its cafés with coffee and pastries. Its current menus include brunch dishes and Scandinavian-influenced food, while some locations serve wine, beer, and cocktails.
