A Memphis storefront is getting a fresh chance to service area cars, providing a valuable resource to local drivers. A concept called Southern Tire and Alignment has filed papers to open on Southern Avenue.
Southern Tire and Alignment aims to take over 2714 Southern Avenue, a space that previously housed the Southern Avenue Body Shop. To that end, the concept has a certificate of occupancy application submitted to the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development.
The form shows that Southern Tire and Alignment will be inheriting 5,000 square feet of space. It also describes the scope of services the shop will be offering, with the business use described as: “Installation of new tires, brake system replacement, oil change service, and vehicle wheel alignment.”
It is not yet clear when, precisely, the new business will be ready to greet guests; the certificate of occupancy remains under review as of October 14.
